Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing another striker this summer. Rodrigo Moreno, Robert Lewandowski, Mariano or Mauro Icardi are among the players who could be on Real’s radar. Today, the press asked Valencia coach Marcelino Garcia Toral about the rumors suggesting that Rodrigo could join Madrid.
“That’s something you’d have to ask Lopetegui about,” said Marcelino. ”I think he will stay here. He looks convinced, excited and motivated. If Real Madrid want him, then there is a release clause,” added the coach, suggesting that Los Blancos would not be willing to meet the €120 million price tag.
Even if Madrid want another striker now that Ronaldo left the club, €120 million for a player like Rodrigo are way too much, so Los Blancos might need to look elsewhere if Valencia don’t want to negotiate a more appealing price for the attacker. However, Valencia might need the money to afford the signing Gonzalo Guedes, who hasn’t left Paris Saint-Germain just yet.
