Real Madrid published a statement where they announced that Martin Odegaard will join Dutch club Vitesse on a loan deal.
Real Madrid C. F. and Vitesse Arnhem have agreed on a deal for Martin Odegaard for the coming season, until the 30th June 2019.

Odegaard knows the Dutch Eredivisie as he played for Heerenveen last season, so he will have the opportunity to play there and show his ability for one additional season. However, Real probably wasted a good opportunity to send Odegaard to another club in La Liga where he could have been somewhat relevant while still learning the league.
Odegaard will turn 20 years old this winter and his time to become the player he was once promised to be is coming. He might be a solid player for a decent Eredivisie club, but can he be good enough to play consistently for Real Madrid? It’s about time to find out.
