Valencia won’t sell Rodrigo unless €120 million release clause is paid
Real Madrid supposed target Rodrigo is reportedly not for sale unless they are willing to pay his release clause. According to a beIN Sports interview with Valencia general manager Mateau Alemany, they aren’t to keen on selling him at all unless someone steps up and pays the clause.
“If they offer €120million, there’s nothing we can do, but Rodrigo seems to be very happy and motivated here.”
“Rodrigo is very important for us and we want him to stay.”
Alemany also claimed he was not in talks at all with Real Madrid over Rodrigo. Its highly unlikely Real Madrid will even entertain a €120 million fee for Rodrigo, so scratch his name off the list.
If Real are to go for a striker before the window closes next week, they will have to looks elsewhere most likely. Leipzig’s Timo Werner has been linked, though no formal offer or interest has been reported.
Real Madrid linked to Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso
The latest Real Madrid link in the rumor mill is Chelsea and Spanish left-back Marcos Alonso, according to AS. Alonso was a product of La Fábrica and spent a couple of seasons with the Castilla. He even played in a match for Real Madrid back in 2010 before being transferred to Bolton Wanderers.
AS claims Atlético are also interested and his price could be around €30 million. New reports are already coming out claiming he’s not for sale at any price. I would have to agree and say that he’s not going anywhere.
Chelsea’s only other option at left-back is Emerson Palmieri, who doesn’t look ready to be a starter yet. AS also isn’t that great of a source when it comes to transfer rumors, they’re usually wrong more often than not. Chelsea aren’t going to be able to replace him so soon and he’s already off to a good start this season.
Alonso is a good wing-back, but not too great defensively. Should Marcelo go down to injury, the club seems keen on giving Sergio Reguilón the chance to be his understudy after a promising preseason.
File this one in the “not happening” section of the transfer rumors.
Vallecano reportedly “ask” for loan of Lunin and De Tomas
According to AS yet again, Rayo Vallecano are asking Real Madrid for a loan of Andriy Lunin and Raúl De Tomás. This one may actually end up happening.
De Tomás spent last season with Vallecano on loan, so it is possible he returns for this upcoming season. Regardless of where he ends up, it’s likely he will go back out on loan after not looking ready to make the jump in preseason.
As for recent signing Andriy Lunin, it is possible that he will go out on loan this season since he is the 3rd or 4th choice keeper alongside Casilla. Going on loan would give him starting or at least backup experience with a smaller side, while Real roll with Navas and Courtois.
For once, not some crazy transfer rumor, but plausible loan moves that may actually take place, though maybe not ending up being Vallecano.
