Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas could be leaving the club over the next few days —according to El Mundo— as Manchester City are keen on signing him to replace Claudio Bravo, who suffered an Achilles injury which will keep him out for the rest of the season.
Navas’ status in Madrid is uncertain now that Los Blancos signed Thibaut Courtois, so a deal between Los Blancos and City could happen. Navas would earn more as a backup for City than he is currently earning in the Spanish capital, so he could also be keen on leaving Madrid given that it seems that Courtois will be the starter when he is fit.
The transfer window in England is closed but clubs are allowed to sign replacement for their players who suffer long-term injuries, so the deal for Navas would still be possible if they make the right offer to Real Madrid.
Keylor Navas will turn 32 years old this winter and his contract expires in 2020.
