Fábio Coentrão Has Just Appeared Out Of Nowhere

Maybe I’m just a bad fan or whatever, but I literally had no idea that Fábio Coentrão was still with us. Like, I knew he was still on loan from Los Blancos, but I had absolutely no clue that he was training at Real Madrid City (he plied his trade at AS Monaco and Sporting CP over the last three seasons).

I’m not entirely sure what’s in store for his future, as he’s not included in the squad list on the official website and this news has seemingly come out of the blue. You’d assume he’d be loaned again but then what sense does it make to have him training at Madrid in Los Merengues colors? Is there a real possibility that he’ll be a one season backup while Theo spends a year at Real Sociedad?

If it is to happen (which would probably be a not so good decision given his age and injury history), let’s hope we get more moments like this.
