Real Madrid’s promising goalkeeper Andriy Lunin might play for Leganes on a loan deal this season, according to reports from AS. The club is interested in the young player and Madrid know that Lunin needs as many minutes as he can get to keep making good progress and develop as a player.
Even Leganes coach Mauricio Pellegrino confirmed their interest in the Ukrainian keeper.
“Lunin is an option for us, though the deal will not be complete today,” said Pellegrino implying that other teams might also be trying to acquire Lunin.
In fact, it seems that Valladolid could also be keen on signing Lunin on a loan deal this season.
Real Madrid still need to get rid of at least two goalkeepers considering that they still have five on the current roster with Courtois, Navas, Casilla, Zidane and Lunin himself. Casilla might leave the club by the end of the transfer window so Navas and Courtois will be the ones fighting for a spot in the XI with Luca Zidane potentially staying as the third goalkeeper in case nobody wants to send an offer for him.
