According to reports from Spanish radio outlet, Cadena Cope, Real Madrid are beginning to finalize the exits of fringe players. Raul De Tomas is expected to spend one year on loan with recently promoted Rayo Vallecano. The promising young Ukrainian keeper, Andriy Lunin, is expected to sign with Leganes for a season long loan. Leganes coach, Mauricio Pellegrino, was quoted speaking about Lunin earlier this week.
Raul De Tomas recently signed a new deal with Madrid after setting the Segunda alight with Rayo Vallecano bagging 24 goals in 32 appearances. The season prior, he had spent with Valladolid bagging 15 goals in 38 appearances. Rumors suggested that Valladolid would be interested again, but neighbors Rayo had the final say by grabbing the Madrid native for the second season in a row. Unbeknownst to many, Raul De Tomas formed as part of Madrid’s youth ranks since the age of eight. If he has another double-digit goal scoring season, he may earn an opportunity with the Real Madrid first team in the 2019-2020 season.
Andriy Lunin is one of the most exciting goal-keeping prospects in the world and should slot right into the Leganes starting eleven this season. Nearly every big team was after his signature, but the Ukrainian only wanted Madrid. At Leganes, he will be close to home where he can continue to develop.
