Real Madrid defender Alvaro Odriozola has been training with the team for the last few days and will be available when Los Blancos visit Girona this Sunday if coach Julen Lopetegui wants to give him minutes.

Odriozola picked up a muscle injury which kept him out of the team for the first two games of the season against Atletico de Madrid and Getafe but he should be ready to play and perform now, even though Lopetegui might decide to keep him on the bench until Madrid host Leganes on September 1st.

Muscle injuries are always tricky and Madrid do have their starter Dani Carvajal ready to play, so there’s no need to rush Odriozola. That way, he can get in better condition to make his debut for the club.

Odriozola is still 22 years old and is a very promising right-back who will be competing with Carvajal for a spot in the XI.
