OFFICIAL: Raul de Tomas sent to Rayo Vallecano on loan deal

Real Madrid published today that they are sending striker Raul de Tomas to Rayo Vallecano on a loan deal which will expire in June 2019.

Real Madrid C. F. and Rayo Vallecano de Madrid have reached an agreement over the loan of Raúl de Tomás for the current season, in a deal running until 30 June 2019.

De Tomas played for Rayo Vallecano in the Spanish Segunda Division last season, becoming the second best scorer in the category and one of the main reasons behind Rayo’s return to Primera.

However, it seems that coach Julen Lopetegui trusts Borja Mayoral for the backup role behind Karim Benzema, so De Tomas will have a chance to prove that he can translate his good numbers in Segunda to Primera Division. He knows the club, but this might be a tough season for him given that it’s his first as the main striker in La Liga.
