Real Madrid will be defending the Champions League titles they conquered the last three seasons against Roma, CSKA and Plzen in the Group Stage of the 2018-19 edition of the European tournament.
Los Blancos were a bit lucky to draw Roma in the second pot as they were some of the weakest teams there, even though they deserve respect and credit after reaching the Semifinals last season.
Many things have changed for Madrid this summer and some analysts don’t believe Los Blancos can win the trophy for the fourth straight time. Apparently, other teams like Barcelona, Manchester City, Juventus or Bayern are the favorites here, but the same happened last season and Real Madrid managed to win the trophy again.
They will have to do it without Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo though. Both men were two of the main reasons behind Madrid’s success and Los Blancos will just have to find a way without them even if they focus on La Liga this year.
