Spain published their squad list for the upcoming friendlies against England and Croatia. This is the first list published since Luis Enrique was announced as the coach for the national team, and he’s made some surprising calls.
Goalkeepers: De Gea, Kepa, Pau.
Defenders: Carvajal, Ramos, Nacho, Azpilicueta, Albiol, Diego Llorente, Iñigo Martínez, Marcos Alonso, Gayá.
Midfielders: Busquets, Sergi Roberto, Saúl, Rodrigo, Thiago, Ceballos.
Attackers: Isco, Asensio, Diego Costa, Morata, Suso, Rodrigo.
Luis Enrique has decided to leave players like Jordi Alba or Koke out of the list while Gaya and Ceballos shockingly made the team and will have a chance to make their debut for Spain.
Ceballos will surely have a very valuable chance to impress Luis Enrique that week. He will likely have minutes for Madrid this season as the first midfielder off the bench and that’s why he must take advantage of every single opportunity he gets this season.
