Real Madrid published a medical report on Jesus Vallejo after the defender picked up a hamstring injury during the team’s pre-season stage in the United States.

After tests carried out on Jesus Vallejo by Real Madrid Sanitas Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a grade 2 injury in the rectus femoris of his left leg. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

This is yet another muscle injury for Vallejo, who spent much of last season recovering from similar issues. This time, it seems that the defender will certainly miss the UEFA Super Cup Final against Atletico and also the first few games of Real Madrid’s La Liga season.

Hamstring injuries are tricky and even more so in Vallejo’s case, so the coaching and medical staff will need to be very careful with his recovery if they want to have the defender ready to play more often than not.
