Match Thread: Real Madrid vs. Leganes

Hey guys, did you know that Real Madrid are currently, at this very moment, in first place in the league thanks to goal differential? Even with our tumultuous summer we are still off to a better start than we were at this time last year... #optimism am I right? So, in the second home game of the season, Real Madrid takes on the mighty Leganes in an effort to stay number one.

Some people have mentioned confusion over “multiple match threads” so I want to clarify that for the most part I will post Match Thread articles about 15 minutes prior to each match. Sometimes I won’t because I’m not always in town, and then you can just comment on Lucas’ “confirmed line-ups” thread. There’s really no difference, we just thought it would be nice to have official match threads posted.

Let’s go get the three points and leave with no injuries, as we travel to play an always tricky Athletic Bilbao next weekend followed by what could be a bit of a banana peel Champions League opening game vs. Barcelona-killers, Roma.
