Former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane talked to Televisión Española this Sunday and said that he will coach again soon.
“I will probably coach again soon because this is what I like to do and what I’ve done my whole life,” said Zidane.
The French manager left Real Madrid this summer after winning three straight Champions League titles with the Spanish club, building the biggest dinasty in the history of modern football.
Still, Zidane said during the press conference where he announced his departure that he would not join any other club this season. He has been rumored to be on Manchester United’s radar to replace Jose Mourinho if the Portuguese coach can’t get the job done this year.
What’s clear is that Zidane will not return to Real Madrid any time soon. This is probably the right decision for him given what he achieved during his short time in the Spanish capital. Expectations would be extremely high and Zidane could only hurt his legacy.
