Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is set to start for Real Madrid when Los Blancos visit Bilbao this weekend, according to a report from MARCA. The keeper made his debut for Real Madrid against Leganes and had a very quiet game because of Madrid’s domination. However, things could be different against Athletic and he might have a busy game considering how tough the Basque team is when they play at home.

New coach Julen Lopetegui has two excellent goalkeepers at his disposal in Keylor Navas and Thibaut Courtois. So far, he has not revealed his plans for that spot. Courtois missed most of the pre-season and that’s why he was benched in the first few games. Now, Lopetegui could give Navas a chance to start in the Champions League while Courtois gets minutes in La Liga. That way, both of them would be somewhat happy, even though their form could drop significantly if they don’t play consistently.
