Spain’s coach and former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique talked to the press after their 6-0 win over Croatia.

“There were six Real Madrid players in our starting XI? I didn’t know that and I’m not interested, they are Spain’s players, nothing else. I don’t care where they come from. Our core comes from Real Madrid and I’m fine with it, I only see one jersey, Spain’s,” said Luis Enrique after the game.

Carvajal, Nacho, Ramos, Ceballos, Isco and Asensio all started last night and will almost surely have relevant roles during Luis Enrique’s tenure. The truth is that Real Madrid is focusing on Spanish talent and it seems that Luis Enrique has taken notice and wants to build his team with those players, even though other men like De Gea, Busquets or Saul will also be crucial for the former Barcelona coach. So far, Spain have completed very good performances on their first two games with Luis Enrique.
