Real Madrid visit Bilbao having earned three wins on their first three games of the 2018-19 La Liga season. Los Blancos have completed convincing performances after their discouraging loss against Atletico de Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup and will need to keep their good form going in San Mames, always a tough venue to play as a visitor.

Luckily enough for Julen Lopetegui, every player is ready to go after the past FIFA break. No injuries happened and while the Spanish coach will need to manage his squad wisely now that the Champions League begins next week, it’s crucial to have every man healthy and fit to contribute.

Courtois appears to be ready to start his second straight game for Real Madrid and nobody knows Lopetegui’s plans about his goalkeepers. Could the Belgian man be the starter in La Liga while Navas plays in the Copa del Rey and the Champions League? Will that work?

For the moment, Los Blancos will need to be focused from the get go against Athletic. It might be hard to earn a comeback against them.
