James Rodriguez looks closer and closer to a permanent transfer to Bayern Munich. According to German outlets, BILD and Kicker, Bayern Munich plan to exercise their right to purchase the Colombian playmaker. Jorge Mendes is expected to travel to Munich to meet the board before the end of 2018 to finalize the €42 million move. BILD has suggested the Bayern would be open to re-selling James if the right opportunity arrived.

The Colombian will have the final say, but Kicker suggests James has already made up his mind and agreed to make his move permanent. It seems the alleged conversation between Lopetegui and James was not enough to sway the Colombian from holding out until the loan deal was finalized. James has started his last three games, scoring 2 goals for the Bundesliga champions.
