Real Madrid host Atletico de Madrd in the rematch of the past UEFA Super Cup Final, won by Cholo Simeone’s men in extra-time. Real Madrid have started the season in better form than their neighbors but their recent 3-0 loss against Sevilla raised some question about Real’s ability to dominate and ultimately beat tough opposition.

On the other hand, Atletico made some quality signings this past summer but have not been performing all that well throughout the first few games of the season. Still, they are only two points behind Barcelona and Real Madrid in the table, so coach Simeone has to feel satisfied as he tries to integrate players like Lemar or Gelson Martins.

All in all, this match has the ingredients to be a momentum-changer for both teams. If Los Blancos manage to beat their neighbors completing a good performance in the process, they will gain some much-needed confidence, while a loss could boost Atletico’s chances of competing for this La Liga title.
