Real Madrid wonder kid Vinicius Jr. could return to Flamengo on a loan deal this winter, according to a report from MARCA.

Apparently, the Brazilian player has a clause on his contract with Real Madrid which would allow him to return to Brazil this winter in case he feels he isn’t getting the minutes he needs to develop this year. Madrid decided to keep him around yet it seems that Vinicius will only play for Castilla this season, something the player probably did not expect, so Vinicius could indeed decide to spend the second half of the season in Brazil playing at a much higher level than the Spanish Segunda Division B.

Vinicius scored a double against Atletico de Madrid B this past weekend and he clearly is a player with potential. However, Lopetegui appears to think he’s not ready to contribute this season, so right now Madrid might be wasting a year of his development. If Los Blancos refuse to send him on loan elsewhere in Spain, a return to Flamengo could be helpful for Vinicius.
