Real Madrid just published the medical report on midfielder Marcos Llorente, who will miss the following weeks with a muscle injury.

Following the tests carried out today on our player Marcos Llorente by the Real Madrid medical team, he has been diagnosed with a grade 2 injury to his left adductor. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

The fans were waiting to see Llorente’s battle with Casemiro for the starting spot but now the Brazilian midfielder will surely regain control of the defensive midfielder position at least until Llorente recovers from this injury.

As always, these muscle injuries are fairly tricky and that’s why Real Madrid will not rush Llorente back. He’s still an important player for Los Blancos after his good performances when Casemiro was out, but it’s clear that Llorente will surely be disappointed with his bad luck here, given that he appeared to be ready to compete for a place in the lineup.
