Loan Tracker: Borja Mayoral Scores Game Winning Goal in Copa Del Rey Victory over Barcelona

Borja Mayoral started for Levante against Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey this evening. The first leg took place in the Ciutat de Valencia which has not been a happy hunting ground for the blaugrana’s in recent years. Tonight would be no different, and the former Canterano would revel in his goal:

After the match, Borja could not contain his joy, “To score against Barca is always special. I am a Madridista and I am always wanting more,” he commented to reporters in the press zone. He then was asked about a potential return to Real Madrid: “I don’t think about my return to Real Madrid right now. I’m on a loan spell at Levante and don’t think beyond that”.

The past 6 months at Levante have been up and down for young Borja Mayoral. The striker has been in and out of the starting line-up and has mustered 3 goals from 530 minutes.
