La Liga officially announced that the second El Clasico of this 2018-2019 La Liga season will be played on March 2nd at 20:45 CEST. Los Blancos will host this game hoping to cut Barcelona’s lead, which is already extremely comfortable for them after the first 19 games.
Messi and Co. earned a 5-1 win on the match played at the Camp Nou last October in what was one of the games that got former coach Julen Lopetegui fired.
The next El Clasico might not be all that meaningful for the title race given that Real Madrid’s bid to win La Liga is pretty much finished. Still, this will be a good chance for Los Blancos to show some pride and try to earn redemption after the humiliating loss they suffered last October. However, if Barcelona drop some points in the next few games, Madrid will have the opportunity to put more pressure on their side with a win.
