Real Madrid published a official statement to announce they’ve sold Kiko Casilla to Leeds.
Real Madrid C. F. and Leeds United FC have reached a deal for the transfer of Kiko Casilla. The club would like to thank Kiko for his years of dedication and professionalism, as well as his exemplary behaviour throughout his time in the youth academy, which he joined in 2000 before working his way into the first team.

Casilla has been a true professional ever since he signed for the club a few years back. He’s never become a starting goalkeeper in the Spanish capital yet he’s always supported his teammates and had a good relationship with Keylor Navas.
Real Madrid decided to sign Thibaut Courtois this past summer and that meant that Casilla simply was not going to have chances to play, not even in the Copa del Rey. He will have a chance to perform in England from now on.
