Real Madrid attackers Marco Asensio and Gareth Bale have recovered from their injuries and completed Friday’s training session with the rest of the squad, meaning that they will be available for Sunday’s away match against Espanyol.
While there will be room for one of them to feature in the starting lineup on a consistent basis assuming Lucas Vazquez returns to the bench, it will not be easy to remove Vinicius Junior from the starting XI given how well he’s been performing lately. Gareth Bale will probably be the one chosen to start on the right wing with Vinicius playing on the left and Benzema leading the offensive line.
Solari could still keep both Bale and Asensio on the bench for Sunday’s game so that they can improve their conditioning progressively. Real Madrid visit Girona for the return leg of the Copa del Rey Quarterfinals next week and that would be a good chance to start both Bale and Asensio.
