Real Madrid visit Espanyol hoping to keep playing well while also earning good results. Espanyol started the season absolutely on fire yet they’ve dropped many games over the last two months. Right now they are sitting on the 13th spot just four points clear of relegation zone, so they might be a bit desperate to turn things around and do it right now.

Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio will be available after recovering from their injuries but coach Solari will almost surely decide to bring them off the bench given that they might not be ready to play 90 minutes just yet. On the other hand, Kroos could return to the starting lineup.

Madrid have been getting solid results and somewhat encouraging performances lately, even though it’s clear that they need a miracle to overcome Barcelona’s current 10-point lead in La Liga table. For the moment, it’s all about gaining some more confidence and momentum for Los Blancos.
