There are many moments etched into our memories as Madridistas. Sometimes it’s fun to take a trip down memory lane and re-visit the times that make us what we are today: ride or die fans of the greatest team on the planet, Real Madrid.
In this episode of “Where Were You When...”™, I’d like us all to re-visit our crown jewel of memories: La Decima. Oh yes, when nothing hurt and the angels sang, as Real Madrid sent home the mattress makers filled with only tears and regrets and a lovely second place medal. The mere thought of Sergio Ramos’ 93rd minute extra time header can make all of us go from having a bad day to putting a smile on our face.
So, where were you when Real Madrid won La Decima? What were you doing? Any funny stories attached to this win for you? I was joking the other day that I broke a piece of furniture when Ramos scored. I lost my mind so much that I jumped onto a bed and continued to jump around so hard that the bed-frame broke. I may have gotten yelled at. Oops. #Yolo. It was worth it!
Feel free to share your memories below, and while you’re at it, visit the Managing Madrid match thread and immediate reaction from that day/night, which are pretty great themselves!
*Props to Ivan for digging up those MM threads for me!
