Real Madrid visit Villarreal in what will be their first game after the Christmas break. Los Blancos managed to conquer the 2018 FIFA Club World Cup and they seem ready to compete for all three titles, but they will need to prove it by beating Villarreal in this tough away game.

It’s true that Villarreal have been poor this season. They are currently in relegation zone and they appointed Luis Garcia Plaza as their new coach just a few weeks ago. Still, this has always been a tough away game for Madrid and it will be more of the same considering that Los Blancos might be a bit rusty after the break.

Casemiro is expected to make his return to the starting lineup now that Marcos Llorente is out with an injury. Asensio is still recovering from the injury he picked up in the FIFA Club World Cup and that means that Bale could play on the left wing with Vazquez and Benzema, Other than that, no surprises are expected in Solari’s lineup.
