Real Madrid visit Girona in what’s expected to be a fairly manageable game for them after their 4-2 win in the first leg played at the Santiago Bernabeu last week. Girona completed a solid performance and their two away goals could make things difficult for Los Blancos if they can get the lead tonight, as it’d put big pressure on Solari’s men.

Still, Madrid have managed to get some encouraging displays lately. Their performance against Espanyol was very good and Madrid will be looking to more of the same tonight in order to keep gaining momentum ahead of the Champions League tie against Ajax.

Solari could decide to make some rotations. Players like Modric, Casemiro, Ramos or Vazquez could get some much needed rest as Llorente, Ceballos and Bale probably need more minutes to improve their conditioning and be a factor later in the season.

All in all, Madrid just have to take care of business in order to advance to the Semifinals.
