Real Madrid published a medical report on Gareth Bale, who was forced to leave Thursday’s match against Villarreal with a calf injury.

Following the tests carried out today on our player, Gareth Bale, by the Real Madrid medical department, he has been diagnosed with a grade 1 soleus muscle injury in his left leg. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

This is the standard Real Madrid medical report, meaning that there’s no timetable for Bale’s return. However, it’s good to know that his calf injury is only Grade 1, meaning that he could miss only one or two weeks.

Either way, Real Madrid should not rush him back knowing Bale’s history with calf injuries. These ones are always tricky and even more so with the Welshman, who just can’t stay healthy and avoid muscle injuries.

For the moment, Real Madrid will have to do without Bale once again.
