Real Madrid visit Leganes in the first leg of their Copa del Rey tie. Los Blancos knocked Melilla out in the past round and even though they should be considered the favorites to advance, they’ve been struggling a lot lately and will need to pay close attention and take care of business.
Most of the spotlight will be on new signing Brahim Diaz. Real Madrid completed his transfer this week and Diaz was included in Solari’s squad list, meaning that he will be available to play and perhaps even feature in the starting lineup. Brahim is still very young but he is an interesting prospect who could thrive in this game, so Solari should give him the chance to play meaningful minutes even if he still lacks the experience to contribute on a consistent basis for the first team.
This game should be a manageable one for Los Blancos even after all their struggles.
