Real Madrid published a medical report on Nacho after their 2-2 draw against Brugge this Tuesday.

Following tests carried out on Nacho Fernández by the Sanitas Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to his medial collateral ligament in his right knee. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

This injury will keep Nacho out for at least the next two months.

The defender was forced to leave the match against Brugge and the club reported that he had a potential knee sprain.

Nacho’s absence will hurt Real Madrid’s depth although he was not expected to be a relevant player this season. In the end, he is Real’s fourth center-back behind Ramos, Varane and Militao. However, it’s true that he was an interesting option to have available in case Real ran short of fullbacks, given that Carvajal, Marcelo and Mendy have all missed games this season.
