Hazard stuns with wondrous assist in Belgium’s 2-0 win over Kazakhstan

Eden Hazard and Belgium picked up another victory in their EURO qualifiers campaign. While not quite the 9-goal match against San Marino, Belgium were once again dominant and able to get the win against Kazakhstan on Sunday.

Hazard looked great throughout the match, but there was on particular instance where he really shined. He picked up an assist on PSG’s Thomas Meunier’s goal, an absolute bomb of a pass.

That is a world class pass from a world class player. While it is certainly deserves a good portion of the praise, and it’s certainly something we’d love to see throughout the season in Madrid, some credit needs to be given to Meunier on that brilliant first touch.

It’s quite impressive how well he controlled the ball upon reception of that laser pass and was able to finish it off as well. Even more impressive that Meunier is a right/right wing back.

With Belgium’s win, they officially qualified for the 2020 EURO and clinched first place in Group I.

Kroos misses second international match in Germany’s 3-0 win over Estonia

Germany won their EURO qualifier against Estonia on Sunday in a 3-0 victory. Manchester City’s Ilkay Gündogan scored twice while Timo Werner scored the Germans’ third and final goal coming off the bench.

Toni Kroos, like in the midweek friendly against Argentina, was not in Germany’s squad after picking up injury against Granada. That injury was set to keep him out around three weeks.

Germany traveled with a good mix of youngsters and several mainstays, they’re relying a little more on their younger players who could break out for next year’s EUROs. They’ve looked good so far and they’re getting the wins they need to qualify.

Their qualification is pending as it relies on Northern Ireland losing to Czech Republic on Monday. There’s still two qualification , but Germany’s win is big if this condition is met.
