CD Tacon is back tomorrow with their sixth match of the season. They are facing off against Valencian team Levante. Levante currently sits in ninth place after 2 wins, 2 losses, and a draw with their latest game being a 1-0 loss at home against Atletico Madrid (the women are actually ranked higher than the men at this point in the season). Levante finished in third place last season, 21 points behind Barcelona, with 56 goals to their name. This is a team with a strong, skilled offense that will be a challenge for our defense to handle. What bodes well for us is that it seems that their defense has a weakness in their center backs and their keeper gets caught standing flat-footed. If we can exploit those things, I think this match goes in our favor.

I don’t see us deviating from the 4-4-2 since we’ve run it every game to date. Kosovare Asllani sat out the last game due to an injury she picked up on international duty, but it looks like she’s been back in training this week from her social media posts. I am hoping that we will see her back in the line up tomorrow. Last game saw Daiane’s first minutes with Tacon since the pre-season and Ana Valles, another offseason pick-up, saw her first game in goal. Being six games in and still experimenting with which players are where makes me think that David Aznar still isn’t fully confident in his players and their ability.

The game starts at 4 AM Mountain Time and since we’re playing at home, I think we’ll actually get to watch this one! Keep an eye out on Real Madrid TV and over on the Footters’ Facebook page.
