Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric rejoined the squad in Thursday’s training session and appears ready to play when Los Blancos host Leganes next Wednesday. Modric had been out ever since the past FIFA break, when he picked up a bruise in his thigh, so he missed the loss against Mallorca and the win in Turkey this Tuesday.
Gareth Bale is still training apart from the group, according to Real Madrid’s report from the training session. Bale has also missed Real’s past two games even though Los Blancos have not published any kind of injury report about him. Right now, his status is a bit of a mystery and nobody knows whether he’ll be ready to face Leganes next week or not.
Lucas Vazquez has also trained with the team for the past two days, which means that Bale, Nacho and Asensio are the club’s only injured players at the moment. A healthy squad is just what Zidane needs so that Madrid can gain consistency and momentum, so Madrid are taking steps into the right direction.
