James Rodriguez, Karim Benzema and Raphael Varane trained with the rest of Real Madrid’s squad this Sunday after missing Saturday’s training session. They appear to be ready to face Leganes this Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Gareth Bale still hasn’t trained with his teammates ever since he picked up a calf injury during the past FIFA break. Real Madrid have not published any kind of medical report about Bale but this Sunday reports in the Spanish press indicated that the Welshman didn’t allow the club to release his medical information.
All things considered, Bale, Nacho and Asensio are Real Madrid’s only injured players at the moment, which is definitely good news for coach Zinedine Zidane, who’s had to manage an injury-depleted Madrid side for most of the season.
After hosting Leganes on Wednesday, Los Blancos will face Betis at the Bernabeu on Saturday, so Zidane could very well make some rotations to keep his players engaged and fresh for both games.
