Real Madrid are considering selling attacker Gareth Bale this winter, according to a report from AS. The Spanish newspaper reported this month that the Welshman had made up his mind and had decided to leave the club next summer, but the board is apparently thinking about selling Bale when the transfer window opens.
Bale has missed the last two weeks of training with a calf injury he picked up during Wales’ match against Croatia the past FIFA break and reportedly didn’t allow the club to publish a medical report on his situation. Today, he traveled to London after training in Valdebebas’ gym.
The Welshman started the season in good form and became a regular starter for Zidane on Real Madrid’s right wing, but it looks like the club is ready to move on from him as soon as possible, even more so after Los Blancos couldn’t complete Bale’s move to the Chinese Superleague during the summer.
If Real Madrid end up selling Bale they might make a move for a midfielder like Christian Eriksen or Paul Pogba, but it’s clear that Los Blancos need to make room and get rid of some of their players before upgrading the current squad.
