This isn’t a very serious injury and Marcelo should be available after the upcoming FIFA break, but Real Madrid will be out of left-backs when they host Granada this Saturday. Mendy and Nacho are injured as well, which will force coach Zinedine Zidane to play either Militao or Odriozola on the right wing.
The Frenchman was asked about Bale’s chances of playing in that spot, given that he is familiar with the left-back position since his days in Tottenham. Zidane doesn’t seem to be considering that option and named Militao as a potential replacement for this game given that he’s also played in that spot a few times in the past.
