Real Madrid have published a medical report on midfielder Toni Kroos, who was forced to leave Saturday’s home match against Granada with a groin injury.

After tests carried out today on the player Toni Kroos by the Real Madrid medical services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the adductor in his left foot. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

The German player will be expected to miss at least three weeks with this injury, so he will not play for the German national team in the upcoming FIFA break.

All in all, it looks like coach Zinedine Zidane will be cautious with Kroos’ recovery so that he can be ready to face Barcelona in El Clasico later this month. Unless the unexpected happens, Kroos should definitely recover in time for that crucial match.

In the meantime, James Rodriguez and Fede Valverde will replace Kroos in Real Madrid’s starting XI.
