Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez talked to the press in an event with Televes and discussed his current situation in the club. Vazquez has been getting some criticism from the Bernabeu fans lately but he’s still grateful and confident.

“I’ve always felt the support of the Bernabe throughout these five seasons. I always feel it and it makes me happy. I take criticism in a good way, naturally. I know this is Real Madrid and we have to face different opinions from the fans. We have to stay calm and that’s it. After the games I usually disconnect, go out for dinner with the family or things like that, but I like to analyze the games we play and see how I can improve. It’s something I enjoy,” said Vazquez.

Lucas Vazquez didn’t make the team’s squad list for the match against Granada but the winger knows the squad is deep.

“We have a very deep and good squad. It’s something we all need to get used to, we know that one day this can happen to everyone,” added Vazquez.

Real Madrid have many injured players at the moment and the squad is a bit worried.

“We don’t know why we have these many injuries. This is a rough stretch and we will want to end it as soon as possible. Our pre-season was good, just like the one we did two years ago. We got ready and we worked a lot,” he explained.

Vazquez also discussed his competition for a spot on Real’s right wing with Vinicius and Rodrygo. He’s been a relevant player for every coach in Real Madrid since he made his return to the squad.

“It’s true that I’ve played with all the coaches and I’m happy for that. All the coaches I’ve had throughout my career in Real Madrid have trusted in me and I hope it can be like that for many years. My competition for a spot in the XI is something I can’t control. They are two good players and young ones, they will succeed in Real Madrid if they keep working,” concluded Vazquez.
