Real Madrid playmaker Martin Odegaard, who will spend the current and next season with Real Sociedad on a loan deal, has revealed in an interview with Eurosport Norway that he’s receiving positive feedback from Los Blancos after a brilliant start to the season.

“I’m in touch with Real Madrid. Sometimes they write to me and they tell me how I’m doing. Now they congratulated me and praised my good start in La Liga, they told me they’re happy with how I’m doing,” said Odegaard, who was named La Liga’s Best Player in September.

Although it looks like he could be ready for relevant minutes in Real Madrid, Odegaard still wants to spend next season with Real Sociedad.

“The plan is to honor that deal. I’m happy in the team and that’s how I want to be after my two seasons here come to a close,” explained the midfielder.

Real Madrid could use a player like Odegaard in the future, given that the Norwegian player has proved himself as a reliable midfielder in a quality team like Real Sociedad. Still, it seems that the player doesn’t want to rush things and stay in the Basque team for another season makes sense, given that he might be the ideal replacement for Luka Modric, who is still a relevant player in Madrid.
