Real Madrid loanee Takefusa Kubo completed his best performance in the Spanish Primera Division during Mallorca’s 3-1 win against Villarreal this Sunday. Not only he scored his debut goal in La Liga to clinch Mallorca’s win, he was also fouled inside the box in what was the first penalty and opening goal for the Balearic team.

Kubo talked to the press after the game and explained his feelings.

“I give myself a 9 [out of 10] because I missed some first touches during the first part of the game, so I can’t give myself a 10/10. This goal is so great for me. I didn’t start well the game but I improved as time went by. I dreamed about this moment every night and it finally came true. I’m so happy, Aridai told me that in order to score I needed to shoot and that’s what I did,” said Kubo.

The Japanese wonder kid is not an undisputed starter for Mallorca yet but it will be tough to keep him on the bench if he keeps performing like this when given the chance to play.
