Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale completed Monday’s training session with the rest of Wales’ squad and will be ready and fit for their next two games against Azerbaijan and Hungary.
Bale’s last time on a football pitch was when Wales faced Croatia the past FIFA break. He picked up a calf injury in that game and missed every single one of Real Madrid’s training session since. However, it seems that he recovered just in time to defend Wales’ jersey.
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane talked to the press on Friday and said that neither Bale nor James “were available,” adding that they were not “ready yet to complete a training session with the squad.”
It won’t be easy for Bale to regain his status as a starter for Real Madrid after the appearance of Rodrygo Goes, who has been a tremendous surprise playing on the right wing. Bale could’ve probably used these two weeks to improve his conditioning and form in Valdebebas in order to compete with Rodrygo for the spot, just as many other players do when they’re recovering. Still, it seems that he will play for Wales while risking an injury on his recently recovered calf.
