Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes talked in press conference ahead of Brazil’s next two games against Argentina and South Korea. The promising player shared his thoughts on his good form and his status in the club.
“I didn’t expect everything to happen so fast, not even in my dreams. A few weeks ago i was thinking of making my debut in the Champions League, I don’t know how to explain my feelings after the hat-trick. It was definitely unique and special,” said Rodrygo.
The young player was asked about Cristiano Ronaldo. It will be extremely hard —if not impossible— for him to replicate Ronaldo’s success in the club, and Rodrygo doesn’t even want to put that kind of pressure on his shoulders.
“I had the dream of playing with Cristiano Ronaldo in Real Madrid and it’s a shame that he left. Cristiano is one of the greatest players in the history of the club if not the biggest. I don’t want to carry the pressure of replacing Cristiano Ronaldo,” explained a very humble Rodrygo.
The attacker also added some thoughts about Raul, who is coaching Castilla and spent some days working with Rodrygo this season too.
“I talk a lot with Raul, he was my coach in Castilla and always gives me good pieces of advice. My career in this club has just started and I hope one day I can be as great as he was. I don’t feel pressure, I’m living the moment,” concluded Rodrygo.
