Martin Odegaard visits the Santiago Bernabeu this Saturday as the undisputed leader of a very surprising and entertaining Real Sociedad team, and naturally, he’s under the spotlight. Much has been said about Odegaard’s future, with the player himself being vocal about his desire to play for Real Sociedad the 2020-2021 season as well.

However, MARCA are reporting today that Real Madrid are determined to bring back the Norwegian midfielder as early as next summer given that they think he’s ready to make an impact for Los Blancos.

While Odegaard is indeed ready to be a relevant player for Madrid, it would ultimately be wise to pay attention to what the playmaker actually wants to do. Keep in mind that Odegaard has spent the last three years on a loan deal and he’s said time and time again that he wants some stability.

Take MARCA’s report with a grain of salt. Unless Real Madrid are ready to give him relevant minutes next season, Odegaard will want to play for Real Sociedad next season and Los Blancos will likely be patient and keep him there for another year.
