Real Madrid will monitor Sterling’s performances for England against Montenegro and Kosovo and are set to offer €80 million plus Gareth Bale in exchange for Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling, according to a report from Sky Sports.
While this report doesn’t seem to be very accurate and reliable, it’s also true that Sky Sports’ reputation is definitely better than the reputation from some of their counterparts in the British media.
It definitely seems that Real Madrid are willing to let Bale go this next winter if there’s any kind of market for the Welshman. The same happened last summer but in the end Bale ended up staying in the club because he only received interest from the Chinese Superleague.
Even if Real Madrid send that kind of offer for Sterling, Manchester City will almost certainly reject the bid, even if Bale’s value has somewhat increased after the summer. Sterling is a valuable player for Pep Guardiola and it’s highly unlikely that the British side let him go that easily.
