Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane talked to the press ahead of Saturday’s away match against Eibar and revealed that Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez will miss the game but will still travel with their national teams in the upcoming FIFA break.

“They are not available but they aren’t injured anymore. It means that they are not available to play. They will go with their national teams and I don’t have to do anything about it. They will have five or six days to see if they’re ready to play for their countries or not. They have not trained with the team but they did some light training on their own. Until they train with the rest of the squad, they are not available. They will be the ones deciding if they can play with their countries, they have six days to decide. It’s not a technical decision,” said Zidane when asked about both Bale and James.

Real Madrid have not published any kind of medical report about these two players but it seems that they were definitely injured. Both James and Bale were called up by their national teams and might get some minutes during the upcoming FIFA break, although that will obviously hurt their chances of being in Zidane’s plans for this current season.

The French coach also said that Marcelo will miss Saturday’s game but added that it’s not a very serious injury, which means that the left-back should be ready to go after the break.

Zidane talked about Real’s visit to Eibar.

“Every game is tough. Maybe even more so in Eibar because it is a very small pitch. There are no easy games in La Liga and we’re ready to complete a good performance. We had few days to get ready for this game but we’re preparing and I hope we can do a good game tomorrow,” concluded the coach.
