Real Madrid have published their starting lineup for Saturday’s match against Eibar —18:30 CEST—, which will be played at Ipurua.
REAL MADRID SQUAD:
Goalkeepers: Courtois, Areola and Altube.
Defenders: Carvajal, Militão, Ramos, Varane and Mendy.
Midfielders: Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Valverde and Isco.
Forwards: Hazard, Benzema, Lucas Vázquez, Brahim, Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo.
Vinicius Junior and Brahim Diaz are back with the squad but it’s a bit shocking to see that forward Luka Jovic will miss the game even though Real Madrid have not published a medical report and he seems to be available. (Updated: MARCA reported today that Jovic has a small muscle injury)
It hasn’t been an easy season for the Serbian forward so far. He was always expected to be behind Benzema in the rotation but he hasn’t played as many minutes as some fans and analysts expected. An away match in Ipurua will be a tough game for Real Madrid and Jovic’s finishing skills could’ve been useful late in the game.
