Real Madrid players Fede Valverde, Dani Carvajal and Raphael Varane talked to the press in two different events to discuss Wednesday’s El Clasico against Barcelona —20:00 CEST—.

“It’d be a dream to start, I would try to enjoy every single moment and detail of the game. We have to enjoy it while trying to win and make our fans and club proud. El Clasico is a dream match for every player and we have the chance to play it so we have to enjoy it,” said Fede Valverde during Codere’s promotional event.

The midfielder was joined by Dani Carvajal, who also had some words to say about the crucial match.

“We face this match with confidence, we’re in a good moment. We know that this game is followed worldwide, everyone wants to see Madrid and Barcelona face each other and we hope to get the best of it. We tell the fans to trust and to cheer for us because we need it, we will give our very best so that they can be happy the day after,” explained the Spanish right-back.

Varane talked to Movistar+ and was asked about the pressure both teams face in this game.

“Real Madrid face immense pressure, not only when things are going well. Not every club in the world of football can play in a club like Real Madrid because you have to handle the pressure to do your best on the field. When you step on the pitch you forget about your current form or the confidence you might have at the moment,” explained Varane.

All three players will be expected to feature in the starting XI. It would be Valverde’s first presence in a starting lineup for El Clasico.
