Real Madrid host Athletic Bilbao right after visiting Valencia and Barcelona in what has been one of the toughest stretches of the 2019-2020 season so far. Bilbao are a very good team but Real Madrid should take advantage of playing in front of their home fans to end the first half of the Liga season even on points with Barcelona.
Coach Zinedine Zidane will be without Casemiro, who saw his fifth yellow card of La Liga during their visit to the Camp Nou last Wednesday. Therefore, Luka Modric will be expected to return to the starting lineup alongside Valverde, Isco and Toni Kroos. The 4-4-2 formation has been very encouraging when Zidane has used it this season, but it’s also true that the team has yet to get a win with that formation.
This match seems to be the perfect opportunity for Madrid to change that while still giving it a try.
